Power of Words Award

Thank you Dr. Rex.
Thank you Dr. Rex.

Award created by: http://idealisticrebel.com/

I have designed this award because so many feel they can’t change the world. They can. You can. Your words, your blog can educate, raise awareness, change opinions and raise spirits. Through your blog you are reaching people you may never have effected any other way.

So this is for all who click away on the computer with a heart full of love, kindness, compassion and caring. For all of you who write to correct wrongs and injustices. For all of you who work to bring light into our world and hope to people’s lives. You are all heroes in my book.

Please accept this heart-felt award and pass it on to those in your WordPress family who deserve it. Let’s keep it going for the entire year. May it inspire all with light, words, and love for the human family.

You all know how much I hate rules, so please just

*post the award on your blog*

*thank the person who gave it to you*

*pass it on to those whom you deem worthy*

*let your nominees know*

In my own words:

In the past, I have been reluctant to accept awards. Not because I was unappreciative but because I was not literate enough in computers to figure out how to copy and paste, link and download pictures from one site to another. I have learned and am going to try again.

I want to start by thanking from the bottom of my heart, Dr. Rex for nominating me for this and other awards. She is a warrior of the light, to be sure. You can find her at:

Now, for my beautiful nominees:

O my goodness, so many blogs that I love and that inspire me! To any that I have inadvertently left out, I am sorry. Trust that it is my limitations and not yours! You all inspire me everyday beyond my ability to express my gratitude for your service to humanity!! I truly love you!

I have been writing all my life but for the most part, it has been a secret. My parents did not believe writing was a good way to earn money so I hid my poems. Then one day, I wanted to comment on an essay that a friend had written and found myself with a blog. That quiet whisper inside said, "You can write your poetry and no one will ever know.". I knew nothing of followers and the like at that time. So, here I am trying to learn my craft and enjoying every moment of it. My personal details are, I'm 57, married for 39 years, have one grown son who is God's gift to us and last but not least at all, I'm a Baha'i which basically means that I love all humanity.

      1. It is my pleasure. The inspiration is from people like you who read and take time to leave your comments. If it sits in the heart it has come from the same heart. Thanks for so much kindness.
