The many varied skins in which I traverse this diverse earth carry me well if I would but honor them. The joy of feeling comfortable simply portraying the “me” that could be seen by all. Traveling around the many countries with respect for the different skins I see but mostly interested in what is beneath, beyond this sheath of human papyrus. The heat of the love of all mankind generated by honoring our stories each. When I accept the true soul that I am then I can recognize all my relations everywhere.

The Prompt today was, skin. The style of poetry was Prose using Internal Rhyme! This one was difficult for me and don’t really feel like I pulled it off well. But… π
I love the first line! It has such lyric power.

Yes and I enjoy reading everyone’s poems too, more than the writing of my own.

Oh me too. Not enough hours in the day to get to them all. Unfortunately!

Thank you, Adam! I really struggled with this one!

I don’t think You struggled, the words just mean a lot to You, so you had to think carefully what you were putting. It takes real spiritual growth to be able to see the world in such an open way. You’ve grown spiritually. Marvellous really, means you’ve not wasted your life as many do

I agree with Amber- ‘layers of papyrus’ stands out for me as well. I enjoyed reading this, your interpretation of what under our skins is definitely thought provoking.

‘Beyond this sheath of human papyrus’ – beautiful! Some lovely internal rhyme and a fabulous reminder that we are all family, whatever skin we wear xx
