The Prompt:
“Have you ever played the game: Two Lies and a Truth? That’s when you tell someone two things that are a lie and one thing that is the truth. And through that the person has to guess which is the truth. Let’s try to play a game with our poetry today. In today’s poem, let’s put the focus directly on us. For some of us- myself included- it’s preferable to write about others. This time around, let’s tell each other two lies and one truth. Whether they’re ridiculous, mundane, shocking, or interesting tidbits, weave them together so we cant’ tell the difference. You can decide on your post whether you want people to guess the truth or just tell them. Remember the prompts are just suggestions and have fun!”~Tamara Woods

I chose an Acrostic for this prompt. Please see: http://www.shadowpoetry.com/resources/wip/acrostic.html

Love has carried me everywhere
I don’t like dogs for all their hair
Every day is dark and dismal when I rise
So which are the truth and which are lies?

Lovely. I’d guess the first is true. 🙂

To tell a truth
or a lie
only those who
dare,
sometime before
i die
Two Lies
Through live rhyme
a President gift
metallic blue maserati?
Once again through time
found myself adrift
where a though
paid twenty-three billion
ifinn you comprehend..
A Truth
An addict living
on the street
writing poetry..
Living within a curse!

I think the first is a truth and the last two are lies… But I don’t know you that well 😉
Beautifully written though 🙂

Lovely acrostic … I can’t even imagine you waking up to dark dismal days … nor not having love in your heart for animals of all kind despite their hair … and I’m sure love carries you every where!
