Many summers spent by the bay
Tasting the fragrance of the sea
Gathering star fish, sea glass too
Joy even when the sky was gray
~
Island folks from far and wide
Ferries chartered to get around
Clamming, crabbing, fishing too
Collecting all with joy and pride

Very pretty rendition of thse ‘by the sea’ remembrances, Carol. I like Maine but it is sooo far away from my Southeast Texas abode. The last time we were in Maine was in October so we got to be the last customer of the season at a lobster cafe. You might know it, one with an old pickup truck put to rest outside.
My grandmother’s family, the Fletcher’s and the Cram’s, were from Maine.

I do remember a place like that. Maine is very beautiful. I am far away also but Tennessee isn’t bad! 🙂 Thank you for the great comment!
