Nestling in to her daddy’s chair, she got comfortable with her favorite doll and a new book. She began to read aloud as she had been taught to do. er small voice began to rise in volume in her excitement about the tale unfolding. First came the chickens apparently attracted by her sweet voice. Three cluckers to be exact, squawking away as if telling the story right along with her. She began to giggle at the cacophony they were creating. It was truly music to her ears. Two of her cats wandered up acting as if they were cool beans and not making a sound. The other two arrived meowing their lungs out in unison creating a grand choral festival. Finally and reluctantly the other reticent kitties chimed in. By this time the little girl had smiled so much that she lost her page and started all over again. They were all delighted!

I have been writing all my life but for the most part, it has been a secret. My parents did not believe writing was a good way to earn money so I hid my poems. Then one day, I wanted to comment on an essay that a friend had written and found myself with a blog. That quiet whisper inside said, "You can write your poetry and no one will ever know.". I knew nothing of followers and the like at that time. So, here I am trying to learn my craft and enjoying every moment of it. My personal details are, I'm 57, married for 39 years, have one grown son who is God's gift to us and last but not least at all, I'm a Baha'i which basically means that I love all humanity.
