How sweet! and this is what a celebration should be about – what the celebrant enjoys and makes them happy. Wonderful. My birthday is soon. My in-laws think it should be celebrated (as all theirs are) in some restaurant they like but not particularly what I like. So I have laid down the law. I want to celebrate my birthday by going to the new James Bond movie – come with me or stay home. My husband is most amused by their befuddlement (really, IHop?, Friendly’s, Applebee’s?). This will be fun. Your husband is a lucky man and I think he knows it.

love that you’ve created a “strange poetry style” and referred to it as such within your poem. You had a lot of fun with this…and I hope your husband has just as much fun reading it! 🙂

I actually refuse to attend parties that don’t give me the opportunity to dance like a martian while blowing bubbles and solving math problems 😉
I love, love, love this. I felt the need to read it three times. Thanks for sharing!
