Heaven in Sleep

Wordle #228
Whirl #228

Tired I am at the onset of night

Body is begging to quit the light

Close my eyes to ignore the fringe

On this rest my sanity does hinge

Now there are changes in the terrain

From screaming I must truly refrain

To spirit world my soul has taken flight

Unafraid, I am feeling not any fright

I must unravel this nightly mystery

For if I do, I will make history

Those gone before are to me visible

They are really happy and not miserable

My dear mother Marion speaks my name

Now there will be no way I’ll be the same

A current there like a strong vibration

Could rid us all of every frustration

This information I must away file

Sure it will change our daily lifestyle

Happy to know that this world does exist

Now death I will no longer resist

I have been writing all my life but for the most part, it has been a secret. My parents did not believe writing was a good way to earn money so I hid my poems. Then one day, I wanted to comment on an essay that a friend had written and found myself with a blog. That quiet whisper inside said, "You can write your poetry and no one will ever know.". I knew nothing of followers and the like at that time. So, here I am trying to learn my craft and enjoying every moment of it. My personal details are, I'm 57, married for 39 years, have one grown son who is God's gift to us and last but not least at all, I'm a Baha'i which basically means that I love all humanity.

  1. your real good. the veil between this world and the next is paper thin. it starts with the heart. the brain, the body relaxes and clear communication takes place naturally, wonderfully, easily.
