Part of my future

Not a single flaw

Stones cast my life

I must take note

Careful not to digress

Strict adherence to fate

Notes of ancient shamans

I have been writing all my life but for the most part, it has been a secret. My parents did not believe writing was a good way to earn money so I hid my poems. Then one day, I wanted to comment on an essay that a friend had written and found myself with a blog. That quiet whisper inside said, "You can write your poetry and no one will ever know.". I knew nothing of followers and the like at that time. So, here I am trying to learn my craft and enjoying every moment of it. My personal details are, I'm 57, married for 39 years, have one grown son who is God's gift to us and last but not least at all, I'm a Baha'i which basically means that I love all humanity.

  2. Beautifully written 4 word l line ’28’ form. I haven’t tried that use of the form yet. You used the prompt words so carefully fitting in. A path in your words, good to follow. I am moved by your poem. – jk

I should clear up for you. The post of my own use of the words is not necessarily the poetry style you need to use to write out your 5 word prompt. However, you did such a gorgeous job. Every Mondays I post a Huge Door with instructions, the 5 words underneath for the week. Further down are several choices of forms you can use to write a poem or to write a short fiction. Also, it is easier for me to find your poem if you Ping or leave you link under the Huge Door in the comment section like you did in my poem’s comment section. If you need to find the door, just look down the right column to current posts. Look for the latest Weekly Writing Prompt #… Click on that and it will take you there to the DOOR. It just makes it easier for me to find you. Thank you for contributing. I really enjoyed reading your work. – jk ❤
