Once

Clouds MALIZ ONG
MALIZ ONG

There is a pilot force roaring

Propelling life forward always

It’s not in single a shaft of light

Engaging the attention of all at once

Dismissing those that can’t hear

Though its claim on creation is sure

The reasons behind the fluctuations

But it is a soft sighing at times

A mere whisper calling out

A small drop of rain upon the soil

At others, it is a bustling vibration

Inviting back the revenant justice

I have been writing all my life but for the most part, it has been a secret. My parents did not believe writing was a good way to earn money so I hid my poems. Then one day, I wanted to comment on an essay that a friend had written and found myself with a blog. That quiet whisper inside said, "You can write your poetry and no one will ever know.". I knew nothing of followers and the like at that time. So, here I am trying to learn my craft and enjoying every moment of it. My personal details are, I'm 57, married for 39 years, have one grown son who is God's gift to us and last but not least at all, I'm a Baha'i which basically means that I love all humanity.

  1. OH. MY. GOSH. How you were able to bring together all those words in the way you did, is outstanding, Carol. Your thoughts are so deep, ones that I understand yet I many times flounder with the pen to write what I know. You amaze me!!! ❤

      1. Carol, oh my! The way you keep saying I am brilliant overwhelms me. I don’t think of myself in that way. I am only doing what I Love to do. Yes I know I am good at it, but being called brilliant …. wow!! I really mean I am SO touched I don’t know how to respond. To be seen as brilliant …. now that is a huge leap for me to see me as such. God Bless you!!! (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

  2. I see the clouds gathering into a thunderclap. initially a quiet white cloud, it balloons up suddenly, with a violent outburst of rain and noise, thunder and lighting, talking back to the earth. then all becomes calm again. well done.
