In my youth, I thought it would be normal
Normal to please and greatly appease
Appease those around me oh so formal
Formal etiquette practiced with ease
~
All things feminine and nicely set
Set to create a beautiful atmosphere
Atmosphere without any kind of threat
Threat that woman is really superior
~
Now we still have all the nice finery
Fineries of delicate feminine delights
Delights that do so often accompany
Accompany the power of women’s light

I like the way you said a woman doesn’t have to give up her femininity, only the people pleasing part of it.

I liked how you let your poem flow naturally from people pleasing to power. Well done. 🙂
