Telling you in advance that I am leaving
Getting in my cherry car and driving away
Your turgescent head is too much for me
Must say, I am feeling quite buoyant
~
The ties we had are no longer binding
Cannot visualize how life would be
Doubt fills my heart in contemplation
Telling you in advance that I am leaving
~
I am Entering the arborescent highway
I cannot tolerate it even one more day
You have hijacked my life for the last time
Getting in my cherry car and driving away
~
You deceived me and you cheated too
Respected not my well-lit boundaries
Must keep the one tendril of self left me
Your turgescent head is too much for me
~
It won’t be easy to make the needed changes
To bring my strength back inside my heart
Here I come finding who I’m really meant to be
Must say, I am feeling quite buoyant

Even if it’s fictional, I can relate. This line,”Must keep the one tendril of self left me” is totally perfect.

a series of powerful thoughts and feelings. it reminds me of a comment made by a friend of the late Jimi Hendrix. he said he believed Hendrix left this mortal realm to see what the other side was like. just another country road…..

That would be a very effective fin-de-tryste, were one to be deemed necessary. Glad it’s fictional.

I can hear that engine roaring and her heart echoing its strength. She’s leaving. She’s ready. And her car is cherry-red perfect for the trip to find her-Self.
