Every surface covered with white
Boughs are bent to kiss the Earth
Snow creates a special kind of light
Reflection changes the whole view
Tiny beads like fingerprints softly fall
Gently, all rush to be together once again
Taking on a new form like a white wall
The beauty of fallen snow is meditative
The Earth and the Sky continually unite
The dance is always one of give and take
Father sky reaches to hold Her oh so tight
A constant circle of love entwines all life

“For today’s theme use the inanimate or the non-human as your subject. Build up an emotional connection with it.
You may give a fresh look to something very ordinary and uninspiring.
You may also write about something you care about, depend on or even afraid of.
Your poem may either be objective or from the perspective of your subject.”~Sumanaa Roy
