Bio: I have been writing all my life but for the most part, it has been a secret. My parents did not believe writing was a good way to earn money so I hid my poems. Then one day, I wanted to comment on an essay that a friend had written and found myself with a blog. That quiet whisper inside said, "You can write your poetry and no one will ever know.". I knew nothing of followers and the like at that time. So, here I am trying to learn my craft and enjoying every moment of it. My personal details are, I'm 57, married for 39 years, have one grown son who is God's gift to us and last but not least at all, I'm a Baha'i which basically means that I love all humanity.

  1. Carol – I still can’t find your page/blog by clicking on any of your links – it’s not recognizing the new URL that should have been associated with your new name – which might be due to the apostrophe in the name, though I’m really not sure. Take a look at ALL of your settings under your Admin Tools and make sure that every single place carolfc1958 was showing, now says Writer’s Dream. If that doesn’t work, look for a possible setting regarding your url address and see what you can do about that. I have a heck of a time trying to find you due to your wordpress address still being carolc1958, yet all of your pics and links pointing to a non-existent (so wordpress says) writer’s dream url It’s got to be somewhere in your settings and tools, profile, something – somewhere – or again, possibly the apostrophe in the name – I’m not sure. 😦

Let me know how it goes.
    ❤ Kimberly

    1. I took the apostrophe out of the header/name of the blog. Could you try now to get in to the blog? Thank you so much. I couldn’t see any other problems but I’m not that computer literate! : )

  2. Love you statement in “about”…yes, I too write to release the pain and continued learning from within. And as any writer I hope the books I have at amazon will bring in a few dollars to supplement my income, retirement is not easy either. But, the main thing is to write to channel the pain and I try to believe that my life of abuse has given me a path to follow in writing to grow more in my understanding of being one with all. I enjoy your writing, your kindness touches me. Ann

  3. K, re: your comment. The easiest part is downloading your posts from WP – worry about that last. That’s super easy – and quick, so I’ll walk you through that at the end. FIRST choose every single piece of artwork you want to use for each page/writing (I would choose 2 or even 3 per writing, just in case in the end you want to have options). Once you have ALL your pictures chosen for ALL of your writings that will be used, download the FREE Trial of Photoshop CS5. There are other free trials that are later versions, but I only have CS5 and I want to be looking at the same options you’re looking at as I teach you how to use the program. DO NOTdownload or install – don’t even download it yet – the FREE TRIAL until all of your photos are chosen for every single writing you’re going to use – because the trial expires and we don’t need it expiring before you’ve worked on all your pictures.

    1. Get yourself a spiral notebook for this project
    2. Choose every single writing you want to include in it (go through them ALL – the ones online and/or offline – and make a list of each writing in your new notebook on a page marked “writings” or whatever you want to call it
    3. Choose 2-3 photos for EACH writing (so you’ll have options toward the end). Create a NEW folder on your computer and download and name each one of them into that folder – whie simultaneously writing the names of them on a separate page in your notebook – marked photos/art (or whatever yu want to call it) – and make sure next to each photo – you write the name of the writing you want it to go with.
    4. Get in touch with me BEFORE you download the free trial Photoshop CS5
    5. Once you get a hold of me – we’ll start working on your PS training for each photo

That should keep you busy for a while. 🙂

Do you have MS Word? Any type of Word Processing programming? If so, while in “VIEW” mode of you online writing, simply highlight your writing, right click copy – go to your Word Processing program, right click paste – then Save, File As (in your Word Processing program) – name and save the writing into the New folder you created on your computer for this program.

      1. Do you know that your personal CELL PHONE number is listed on your gravatar? Get that off of there – there’s crazy people in the world! I almost called you (I’m not one of the crazy people – I’m a little unique haha – but not crazy). *insert look of weirdness here* – If I hadn’t gotten your email addy I was going to call that number. My love, please take get your cell phone number off your gravatar and out of the pubic eye —- same goes for your personal email address above, delete that. I’ve run into 2 loons on WP over the last month … actual frightening type of loons, and that’s just the ones I’ve yet to run into – and that’s only on WP, there’s an entire Internet out there. Don’t make me scold you! hahahahahahaha. I’m very protective over those I care about – and I’ve been told that at times I’m a tad bit too nurturing – but it’s me, I can’t help but be me – and I will haunt you until you get your personal info out of the public eye! LOLOLOLOL Ruv Roo. ❤ 🙂

      2. I struggle with it too – I figure it out, then I can’t find my way there again. I know that if you go to your dashboard, then “users” – then your profile – somewhere in there it “MIGHT” give you options of your contact information – I’ll go hunt with you. and meet you back here if I find anything. Silence means I’ve found nothing LOL.

      3. Found it (wow that was faster than I thought lol). It’s under Dashboard, Users, My Profile – all your info is in there. delete, delete, delete! I shall have to commit a mortal sin by taking the life of anyone who stalks or hurts you! ❤

  6. Hey you – I just jumped onto WP for a quick sec to leave you this message. When you have a chance check yr email – I responded to you and was hoping to try and lend you a hand with that tonight if you had time. If you don’t tonight, maybe on Sunday – and the next time I have available is Tuesday afternoon. Ok hon, have to run – tried to post today but I had nothing to say haha. Love you – see u in email. 🙂

  7. I’ve been wondering where you have been, I did leave a comment on that new york incident, I’m so glad for you and your support and others like you who find something in my words and my art. I will always try to keep it real , there will be new pieces of my work very soon

      1. Well, what happens is this:

        1. I post a ‘branch’ on your about page- a request for you to visit/follow my blog and ask you to extend the branch to two or more other wordpress users you know.

        2. You visit/follow my blog then extend the branch to them and they visit and extend to others and the vine keeps growing.

        3. We live happily ever after.

  8. Hi Carol,

I was wondering if you would like to participate in “A Tour Through BlogLand” or also known as the “Virtual Blog Tour Award”?

If you accept, it is a single post that you would write on Monday the 9 of February 2015.

    The rules:
    1. Pass the tour on up to four other bloggers. Give them the rules and a specific Monday to post.
    2. Answer four questions about your creative process which lets other bloggers and visitors know what inspires you to do what you do:
•What am I working on at the moment?
•How does my work differ to others in my genre?
    •Why do I write/create what I do?
•How does my writing/creative process work?
    3. Compose a one-time post on a specific Monday (date given from your nominator).

Mine will be up on the January 19, 2015.

  9. Hi Carol, I love your blog and writing. I must leave a note for you as I nominated ten writers to join in the Spread the Love challenge yesterday, and I ran out of time and numbers when compiling the list. One reason why I do not inherently like doing nominations is that some people will be excluded (and I always feel it when I am excluded), just to say that I am sorry that I left you off the list, thank you so much for always supporting my blog, and for your beautiful writing ❤
