The clouds descend around me now
Bringing quiet and peace within
Play and dance to my violin
~
My soul, at this time, will endow
New energy to simply be
To live within the here and now
~
More at peace than I’ve ever been
The clouds descend around me now

Octain Refrain–dVerse Meeting the Bar
Victoria Slotto is tending Pub this time and has introduced the Octain Refrain to us pubsters. It’s an interesting form and I enjoyed trying it out! Thank you, Victoria!

I love that living in the here and now ~
As to the form, I think you need to repeat the first and last line: The clouds descend around me now ~
Happy Easter to you !!!

It is so important, that message to live in the now. Grace mentioned the repetition of the first and last lines, but then there is always poetic license.

Beautiful musicality in your octain. Luke is a musician too and a great lover of music. I think when he came up with this form that it would lend itself well to a poem like this. Excellent write. Thank you.
