You gave me some Spring tulips.
Then placed them gently at my feet.
I knew then, your purple love.

Streams flowed slowly down my face.
Raised my eyes to you seeking grace.

Tenderly, you reached for me.
My hand trembled with fear.
Then placed them gently at my feet.

Early June showers cascaded.
Waters that lightened my load.
